Salmon Run: Next Wave

Salmon Run is my favorite game mode! I'm also really fascinated by the Salmonids themselves and would love to know more about them. Drop the lore, Nintendo!

Why Salmonids?

We know next to nothing about the Salmonids, their culture, their way of life! They're so different from the Inklings and Octolings and lack the humanoid shape that we see from a lot of other creatures in the Splatoon universe.

Like the Octolings before them, the Salmonids are a victim of awful racism. The Inkfish STEAL their eggs during Salmon Runs, a time of reproduction and new life, they use their babies for who knows what (Mr. Grizz's intentions aside), and shoot them down when the Salmonid try to fight back. The Salmonid are completely justified in their retaliation during the Big Runs.

We know the Salmonid have culture and society and intelligence. They make music, they design weapons, the King Salmonid are developed for war to combat Inkfish.
I love the Salmonid, they're so cool and interesting and I really want to know more about them! I do love the Salmon Run game play a lot, but I would love even more if we could learn about the Salmonid's history and culture and society.

Also they are just very Shaped and have really cool designs and are just Funny Little Guys.
